Do Women Have Hair Miniaturization? I'll Tell You

When people are thin and bald, their hair follicles often go through a process called "miniaturization". This means that they have the same follicle, with time and with age, becoming a negative effect on DHT, androgen, waxy build up, or other inhibitors. The result is that over each cycle of short hair, shed hair that is replaced is becoming less important. To put it simply, what you get is a thinner, finer hair every time, so that over time the hair becomes very fine, or sick while watching the end it was like peach fuzz, or completely bald. There is a misconception that women tend not to suffer the same fate. Although more and more acceptable for women to also have a genetic or androgen driven thinning or androgenic alopecia, people are less inclined to believe that women also have miniaturization. Although this is the standard error is often simply not true.

Women can and do not have the miniaturization and the process becomes more and more common place. There are many theories about why and how this happens. I'll cover discuss this topic in the next article.

Women and androgenic alopecia, and AGA. same cause, but sometimes different presentations: Women are AGA and genetic thinning of the same reasons that men do not. Some of us are just predisposed to becoming more sensitive to androgens on our scalp as we age. It is becoming more and more common, though, although the reason for this is highly debated. Some think that as we develop, we are more and more sensitive to androgens. Some think it has to do with preservatives or hormones in food. And others think that it is stress.

Whatever the cause, treatment can be tricky, because, despite what some may claim, there is no way to get rid of every drop of DHT in the scalp based on repeat. Your body will continue to produce it (like many people with this type of androgenic alopecia produce low or normal amount), and if you do nothing, your scalp will still be overly sensitive to it. The result is that first you will have hair loss or shedding, but others, on down the road, you will probably experience some of the thinner, finer hair grows back.

Often, women will have the same degree of her re-arrival at a peach fuzz or possibly balding as a way to make a man (although that sometimes happens.) Often, it absolutely does not come in thinner, but the cosmetic results are often seeing more of the line or over the head, or even all over thinning and volume loss. Sometimes you'll notice areas such as temples, top, and crown a bit more than other areas.

Some women see the diffuse level of miniaturization, so that no one area looks much worse than others, but over all effect is noticeable because the individual hairs are more thin. So you'll see a limp, flyaway hair that tends to become oily look or because one or more wrong and more easily tempted.

How do I know if my Regrowth Is miniature ?: You probably have some indication that this is happening or could potentially happen, or you would not have researched this topic. Often, when multiple scalp and noticing less coverage is the first clue that something might be going on.

the next thing you can do is not to escape from a healthy, thick, greasy hair (try getting this from the bottom, in the back, because this area is less influenced by androgens.) Now place the hair najako light or white surface so that you can easily see. Now, find some typical looking regrowth and courage that the hair as well. Compare the two in appearance, shoulder to shoulder. Is a hair thicker? Is the root look different? (often influenced by androgens, or the hair will have a plug of sebum or roots, which is much smaller and less pronounced than in healthy hair .)

Then, grab the hair on the back side first, hold it between your thumb and first finger and flick it up and watch it go down. It should come down quickly and decisively, as it should have some weight to it. Repeat the process with the hair that you suspect is thinner. Some of these will flutter like a feather, and takes longer to come, because they are less cumbersome. It's almost as if they were hollow inside.

Treatment: It is important that you nip it in the bud as soon as you can, because with each new re-cycle problem is going to get up and going to get harder and harder to reverse . The first step in this is to treat the scalp. People with AGA often have tight scalp with a lot of infections because of their sensitivity. So, your goal is to reduce inflammation and relax the scalp.

Then, you'll want to tackle androgens. Many people will try to eliminate them, but like I said, it's almost impossible to do this for the long term. They just keep being produced. It is better to try to reduce in real terms, and then try to reduce the sensitivity.

In the end, you want to encourage re-growth as best you can and want to make sure that the methods chosen are aggressive, but gentle on your scalp, because the last thing we need is more inflammation.
